This does NOTHING to make the dedicated server hosts money because..... YOU CAN HOST YOUR OWN SERVER.
You can host a dedicated server on the same pc as the one you play on. So no need to rent a server. Most people post them because they think the devs read here, They dont. They want nothing to do with any place they have no control over to shut down these ♥♥♥♥ posts .
It's a public post so It's anybodies business who chooses to comment, twitch posts more helpful answers on here than most people so it's usually worth reading what he has to say.
You posted that you need a 2nd PC to host dedicated and he explained that you didn't so that seems helpful?
The tether distance has been a problem on evolved and still is on console versions, the PC version of evolved has been out long enough for things to change.
This game is early access and many people have crashing problems, un-tethered non-dedicated can cause crashes so they have it in place so as not to add something that could cause further issues.
you do NOT need nitrado to host a server for you , you can do it on the same pc you play on. It will stress a little if you have an older pc, but it is possible to host it and play on the same pc, therefor eliminating the tether issue.
if you saw my statement as an attempt to argue, that means you want to argue. Relax kiddo., Its a forum about a game. Nobody took your candy.
Now see... Now you bring to the table the real issue. Not that tether is the issue, but that it isnt working as intended.
What is the exact issue that it is " not working as intended " ?
the facts:
It has (supposed to have ) a max distance of 180
what is broken.
You can also install a virtual instance with an os and so on.
Sorry, I meant how well do they run/how impactful are they to the host.
multi core cpu. i would try it out just for the test bed and see.
Are there any tutorials on this kind of thing?
