Light no Fire is one that got me excited. No idea when it will be out though. Maybe this month, maybe next year, no announcement.
I've put this game on hold until more maps or an interesting mod comes out. I'm currently playing an old but popular MMO, Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) for a bit, since I never tried it before.
ASA is working fine, just a bit bored with only one official map released.
Enshrouded looks good, but not quite the type of game that I like.
Nightingale could be good and actually has a release date of Feb 22, 2024, although I've never heard of Inflexion Games which is also self-publishing. That kind of worries me. Maybe an independent game developer? So far I've not found a game from an indie that I played more than a month. The Curators on steam mostly have some real sketchy names? Anyone have anything good to say about this one?
I see from Google, that Nightingale is on Unreal Engine 5, just like ASA.
I dont know the company particularly well, I just know the game looks interesting. I have also been enjoying Smalland: Survive the Wild. Its still got some early access jank, but it has a lot of potential.
Well Nightingale will be releasing to Early Access, so I'm sure it will be quite buggy too.
It's in very early excess because it just came out It looks a lot like arc Except they are going to add missions
Missions? So kind of MMO like. I'm playing ESO at the moment. That MMO is full of missions to the point it is kind of annoying. NPCs come up to you on the street and hound you to do a mission. They say they just need a minute of your time, but they lie! Could take you anywhere from 1/2 hour to days to finish the mission they start you on.
Ah, you said Athos. Capitalization for a name really helps. Now that I look it up, I see it is an ARK knock off. Can't say I like those types. I would compare it to ARK no end. I doubt anything can be as good as ARK.
I'm not sure you can get the flavor of ESO in just 10 hours. Many of the buildings are copy/paste with a few different NPCs and things in them, but that is pretty much every game that does that. There are dungeons which you can't even do until level 10. I assume you tried those? The quests/missions have actual voice actors for them, not just written text. I'm guessing when it first came out, ESO was top tier. Now approaching its 10th year anniversary, it is looking old, but still very popular. It beats many other MMOs in popularity still.
Yes, this has always been the appeal of ARK. Pretty sure it was unique when it first came out. All the imitators are not nearly as good as the original.
What do you think the idea for ARK was? I understood it to be tame and kill dinosaurs. They went way beyond that, so I was satisfied. I played almost 10k hours, so I think I got my money's worth
Right now there appears to be a bug with poop disappearing. Did you see that in the original? You are just repeating comments you have probably read a hundred times. Just repeating the same thing over and over doesn't make it true, although some people obviously believe that to be the case.
BTW, the topic is new games similar to ARK. I think we were pretty much on topic until your post. I'm afraid that me replying to your post is even more off topic and I apologize in advance to those wanting to discuss this.
