Can PS5 Players join PC Players and vice versa?

Me and my friend have always played ARK Survival Evolved in PlayStation. I recently bought a computer and I would like to buy ARK Survival Ascended for it but I don't know if It would let us play together.

I know nothing about how Ascended menus look or work, but I know that in Evolved you could join Unofficial PC Sessions, I would mainly like to know if we could join the same server that is an Unofficial or an Official server from both PC and PS5.

you can play together on cross-play enabled Unofficial servers, some mods are not cross-play friendly so be careful with mods, we have friends from PS5 joining our servers while most are PC players, there is a setting you have to enable for each platform you would like to allow in your server, on official servers they had issues and at a point disabled cross-play for windows, but not sure what the status of it is. i can not grab the ini file setting at the moment due to Nitrado having issues letting us reach the server interface. hope this already helped you somewhere, also a tip to prevent crashes, disable battle eye, the anti-cheat causes random crashes at the moment.
