hey i already have XMP set up properly I think im what were the nvidia options you mentioned? im interested in trying that...
This seem to have worked. Thank you!
ark.VertexCountScaling 1
I install about once a month to see if any of the handful of bugs since launch have been fixed. I played about 2 hours and crashed 3 times.
They are buried in debt, can't code their way out of a dumpster on fire, expect ZERO fixes. They are full steam ahead to their next paid release.
disable inventory interaction (in UI options)
deactivates foliage interaction (you will see stones floating or misaligned)
Global illumination on Low or Medium (on high or Epic it throws errors, I don't know why)
For me particularly, it helped
greetings !
Then I host my own unofficial server nitrado without mod, I play two players with an RTX 2070 GDDR6 8GB laptop, and an i7 10750H, 16go ram, with a external SSD
in 1980 res, and I run between 29 and 38 fps without frequents freezes or bugs, sometimes I go down to 21. I sometimes crash once a day in 5 hours of play, sometimes not at all.
My computer is 3-4 years old
I don't use a console command to disable clouds or fog, here are my settings:
Ark (steam) launch settings:
-USEALLAVAILABLECORES -high -maxMem=8192 -malloc=system -cpuCount=10 (for me is 6) -exThreads=16 (for me 12) -no-singlethreaded -forcenovsync
Put your antivirus in game mode and/or authorized Ark Ascended
(I disable Battlecheat on my server, maybe that's it?)
update your Gforce processor and driver
in nvidia settings:
3D Settings:
Add Ark Survival Ascended in 3D settings by locating the .exe executable in your steam files
then program settings:
threaded optimization: enabled
vertical sync: disabled
in your task manager settings, go to ArkAscended.exe, right click, go to compatibility, and check: disable full screen mode optimizations
Apply
Locate the GameUserSettings.ini (the path for this is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ARK Survival Ascended\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\Windows though depends on where you have installed the game) and search around for 'Vsync'. If not there, add VSyncMode=0 (if present this may be a higher value). Then find bUseVSync= and adjust it to bUseVSync=True
In game my graphics settings are:
Resolution 1920x1080
Windowed full screen
Advanced Graphics: Medium
View distance: high
Textures: high
Post-processing: medium
General shadows: high
Global Lighting Quality: High
Effect quality: low
Foliage quality: high
Motion Blur: Off
Light Flower: Off
Light Trees: Enabled
Low Light Enhancement: Enabled
Foliage interaction: enabled
Multiplier and limit, 2, 2, 2
Particles foot: on and on and on
disable log:enabled
3D widget quality: 0.5
RTX:
Nvidia DLSS enabled
mode: performance
(framegen not supported)
Nvidia low latency: ON
I'm on Windows 10, maybe I'm lucky, in any case good luck to you

To return to previous settings, replace true with false in gameusersetting.ini etc..
restore defaults value nvidia ark ascended if this is causing you a problem with loss of FPS
for the steam launch settings, simply delete the lines or replace them
(Sorry if it's hard to read, I use google translate)
(These are little guides that I found on the internet for some, and thank you to them)
Did you replace the 2070 Super with a 3060? This game is far more demanding then Evolved or Conan btw, which both run UE4.
Frame gen is 40 series cards only.
The game lacks optimization just like ark evolves upon its release, and this is noticeable... artifact problems, flickering day and night, etc... The game is not as "magnificent" as we think . I imagine it's certainly very engaging since it's an open world where you can interact with everything possible... but the details aren't as in-depth as one might hope. imagine... I even find that they are a bit caricatured on the details. And “cartoon” games have never been as difficult as those with a realistic objective.
The problem being that Wildcard rushed ARK's release, and the fact that they pushed it back multiple times meant that they weren't quite ready, but were pressed for time.
Ark Ascended won't run on older graphics cards, that's for sure, but at least on a low-speed GTX 1060 6GB, an average of 20-40 fps playing alone at 1366 x 768 resolution should do the job. affair. affair. affair.
15 years ago, it was even possible to play low-resolution video games with its chipset. We forget that UE5 has better support than UE4, and that the Ascended arc in UE5 is similar to UE4 or even worse visually in low quality.
Currently, even on 1366x768 support, ark slows down, ark crash, ark bug... on cards like an RTX 2060 and beyond and even on desktops.
Personally, I'm not going to buy an RTX 40 just to play Ark Ascended in 4K, especially since 4K on a 20-25 inch screen is useless because you won't see the difference between 2K and 4K. . it's a bit like phones between 20mgpx and 50... it's the processing software and the graphics panel that makes all the difference..
In PvP it is certain that each FPS is important, personally I don't like PvP and it doesn't serve me
