Tracking Tribe members

I'm having some trouble tracking my friends/tribe members in the overworld. We started our own server and im on pc. I have them as POI on the map but when I click the icon, as said, their waypoints don't show up in the overworld(it works with dinos and waypoints). Tried interacting with their characters to toggle tracking and toggle POI with no luck. They also don't show up in the tracking tab in the menu as team members amd allies. Is there something I'm missing maybe? I'm just doing the workaround of tracking their flyers for the time being.

We started tracking the dino the tribe-mate is riding as a work around. We are having the same issue.
