Failed 12x getting rhynio impregnation

Tried it with and without a trap on official. Tried it with a Rex, spino and paracer. Got the rhynio under 10% health every time and nothing happens. Is there a trick I'm missing like flying out of render distance and flying back ? Does the bug need room to fly away and come back ?
I'm thinking it might be the horrendous lag that makes it not work.

you need a pheromone from a dead rhynio to feed your host dino with when the wild rhynio will be at less than 10% hp and yes the wild rhynio needs room to go up in the air and come back

I had the pheromones. Do I need to be riding the dino for it to happen ? Can a paracer have a platform saddle on for it to happen ? How close should the dino be ? Does the dino being impregnated have to be the last thing to attack the rhynio ?

did you make your dino to eat the pheromones?
i couldn t be a 100% sure but I think it s better with a saddle than a platform, and no matter if you ride it or not, just be careful if you don t ride it that it s not on agressive or neutral as it might kill the ryhnio when she hits
i don t know what you mean by close as the rhynio needs to be in its attack range to be able to impregnate your dino, but also have the room to go up in the air and comme back

It also doesn't work on singleplayer with a Bronto on the pheromone and thhe Rhynio under 10% (no traps). Maybe there's some kind of bug (ha ha ha). Wouldn't be surprising.

its a while back but buddies and me had a server and i got a Rhynio with no problem, are you sure that the rhynio is a female since only females can impregnate and also make sure the Dino you want to have impregnated consumed the Pheromon, else the rhynio wouldnt impregnate you Host Dino.

The more i read about it on official Discord, the more it seems its because of the abysmal Ping/Lag of official Servers.

i kind of have the same feeling after reading a few over here and there, that on offi there is too many lags and rollbacks that the rhynio behaviour is f*cked up

Yes, the Rhynio is female and the Bronto has consumed the pheromone as indicated by the red glow around it as well as the buff it's got. The female Rhynio was frequently below 10% (when she healed up, I brought her down again afterwards) as shown by inspecting her with a magnifying glass. She also did swoop away but instead of doing her glowing tail and stinging animation, she just either kept on shooting at the Bronto or she lost interest and hunted down some Pteranodons or Paracers.
When I accidentally killed her, I tried again with a different female later on (and a fresh pheromone from a male, of course), but this one showed the same behaviour as the previous one.
As I'm only playing on SP, I don't believe it's due to lags. No idea really, what's going on. But according to all the guides/videos etc. it should have worked, but for some reason it didn't. Would be really interesting to know, what's going on or if it's even worth it to try further because -to be honest- it's quite time and energy consuming to hunt these buggers down each time. :(

A lot of people on my official server already have a rhynio, so it must be possible. Maybe they're "tamed" in the dead of night with good ping. Or it takes multiple people, one in render and the other going out of render and coming back. I just tried my 13th time with no luck. I've elevated a sacrificial bronto on a high pedestal thinking getting it away from the ground is better.

the trick is to use a magnifying glass to check it's health on a flyer along with a primitive crossbow. take note of how much health it has then take note of how much damage you do per shot and do quick math to figure out how many times you need to shoot it in order to drop it to below 10% without killing it. Once you have it down to below 10% pop the pheromone on your sacrificial tame and have it aggro to it. It should attack it for a little bit and then impregnate the tame.

Also make shure to have a storage chest close by with everything you need for cravings in order to make it easy for yourself.

People on my server say that flying out of render distance for minutes resets the ryhnio and then going into render makes it want to impregnate. I'm guessing that the rhynio still has to be under 10% health that whole time, so a higher lvl bug might be better. I tried it 3 times like that without success.

yes the lag will prevent the impregnation from happening its very frustrating and buggy to say the least. They really need to work on streamlining the taming process so its not so hap hazard

Well if you play on SP it cant be due to lag like some others mentioned. Sounds strange to me since I got 2 of them on our communityserver with ease. But if you followed all steps like mentioned from me and it still doesnt work im dunno.
