lava cave will delete and kill your dinos

Jesus this game needs some polishing... cant even use in development or anything as an excuse this literally should not exist (the game not even the bug XD)

If it's what I'm thinking of it's not even a bug, just a very weird design choice.

There was a number of caves in ASE that have pits that delete anything that goes in them because reasons

I've speed run this cave for the artifact on a Thylacoleo and had no issues, if you fall into one of the big lava pits and it kills you well that sounds fair :P

I've been in the lava cave a few times. I did not fall into the lava, did not die, did not lose my tame. Now there are two kinds of lava from what I've heard. There is the quick death type and the insta death type. You are dead either way if you go in the lava, not sure what is hard to understand about that.

I remember in ASE, I took a high level Sabertooth with an ascended saddle into the lava cave. I missed a jump (because those cats are awful at jumping), and it pretty much died instantly. I fell off the cat and also died instantly. Fun stuff and sounds like it hasn't changed.

frozen cave up north on the coast by Blue Obelisk has some pits that if you go in, you never come back out. Even in God Mode.

Lol, yep this one got me too. Tried to jump it on a wolf, bounced off the ceiling into the water and died. I had 4 wolves trailing me, 3 followed me in like lemmings to their demise. Lost my shoulder otter too.
