ARK SA is a pure mess at the moment

Originally I recommended that game for hardcore fans of ARK SE. It has some nice QoL improvements. But I cannot do so anymore.

It started out with a lot of server issues, crashes, extremely overpopulated public servers to state the most obvious.

The developer tried to fix some of it and it seemed they closed in on preventing server crashes, but they still happen. But what's worse is that they worsend the gameplay a lot.....

The most annoying and pressering issues are IMHO:
1. Server wide max no of tamed creatures. Who the fork thinks this is a good idea in game design? I would understand if they limit it to tribes or players, but to all palyers together on one server. This is one of the most stupid things I've experienced so far. It benefits some players/tribes and disadvantages all the rest of the players.
2. Every other minute there is a lag. the game stops and you have to wait, sometimes even up to a minute until the game proceeds. It is quite often happening, that you are in the middle of a fight, when this happens.
3. Rubber band walking. Even with 70 ping, you often keep and walking back and forth for quite some time. It has also to do with the next issue
4. the animal hitboxes are to big. For instance babies and adolescent pets do have the big collision zone /hitbox the adult ones have. It is quite amazing, when you try to walk by a rex baby or such and keep rubber band walking, bc you hit the imaginary hitbox
5. Hitboxes are too small. Too big and too small at the same time. Weird, i know, but the devs managed to have me feel that way. Too small when it comes to other gameplay elements. You are riding a rex and attacking some other big pray. Your rex got stocked into the other animal and cannot walk anymore, until you killed that thing. Imaging that out of the blue a dangerous alpha comes by and you cannot turn, flee or do anything. Or when you let your animls follow you. Regularly they run into you and you cannot move anymore, because you stuck in their hitbox.

The game is a mess currently! and this for weeks. I don't know how this could pass gold master approval testing.

Wait until the dlc's start rolling out with the additional micro-transactions with new dino's like the one that can travel under the sand in Scorched Earth and the trains/traintrack engrams..... and then realizing its going to be these sorts of things each and every map that's being staggered in release. And then, remember the issue history of ASE for 8 years. that brought us to Ascended.

In other words, ground your expectations and accept that more than likely issues will be perpetual.

Official is a mess. Private servers are now.

Tribe of 5 people playing since release; we experience limited crashes and are currently working on breeding boss dinos without minimal issues. Yes, bugs exist, but nothing which has been game breaking.

I am not trying to invalidate your struggles with official; they should be in a much better state then they are now.

But there are options to still play and enjoy the game outside of official.

I do believe the new Dino they showed off is the one that came with ASA, as each maps is getting one new Dino which was voted on by the community months ago.

Why are you complaining about new, cool content to play with?

well im playing on friend's server , we are just 2 on server with some joined for 1 time only maybe , there is issue with balance of dinos population ,herbivore vs carnivore and alphas spreads everywhere and they ridiculously OPed which affect at herbivores population and eats everything !
