Dino render distance

I knew that they were going to do this to draw distance, though I'm glad it's only on official servers and not happening on my Nitrado dedicated server.
Any game that does this, always does it after introducing crossplay to allow consoles to be able to handle the game and also to create an "even playing field". I'm sick of seeing crossplay forced on people then having pc versions nerfed and graphically degraded to facilitate it. It's like having an olympic running race and making everyone hop so the guy with 1 leg can join in and for it to still be fair.

stupid change needs to be put back and disable cross play , i dont have a top tier pc to not be able to see as far as my pc can handle which is and always has been epic view distance ,

its starnge moving about the island and not seeing any dino from a distance , used to be able to fly around spot a dino far far far away pop out telescope to see level etc , now they just pop in to view at a ridiculously close range

No, I've never had that problem when playing this game. In fact I've never had any of the problems that are listed in the terrible reviews, personally i think its a PC quality issue

With all the issues ASA has, this is by far the most horrible to me personally. I initially loved the draw distance. Super immersive, and just felt better than ASE. Now? Man.... when I log in now I just get discouraged by it. Always fun to have an unseen Giga appear 60m away from you.....

yes my 19 14900k and 4080 begs to differ , this change sucks , might be ok for consoles and low end pcs but come on its a dino game about hunting dinos , cant hunt them if we cant see or find them (and no being 2 foot away before we see them doesnt count )

Cardzx, if you are playing on an official server, then your dino view distance is low as well. It is not an end-user issue. WC has acknowledged it, and has been saying that it would be taken care of... of course that was about 6 days ago so who knows now. But yeah, you can't spot wild dinos past about 100m currently. Unofficial and SP are not affected by this.
