Anyone getting this awful visual bug

When I play with the global illumination at high or epic the water starts flashing these glitchy patterns constantly, and at the same time the light of the whole world starts fading in and out, almost like the sun's being covered and uncovered constantly. It's extremely awful to look at and pretty much forces me to play at lower settings, at least lowering that one setting, which makes any foliage have terrible spotty shadows.

I have a good enough fps at max settings, 50-60 fps, but not having that one setting on max makes the lighting so ugly especially with the awful flashing square shadows in all the grass, I don't think there's an actual fix but I'm hoping it's not just me having this problem.

I had water like that, I lowered some settings and then it stopped, then I raised the settings to see what was the issue but then I could have all settings on max without it happening anymore. Haven't seen it since, very weird.

Took a bit of digging but thought I had heard people discussing this before:

Dont use the newest driver. it causes so many bugs and crashes in ark. Im installed the 537.58 WHQL Studio driver and after that there is no crash and water/light bug anymore"

You, OP, didn't mention your GPU, but if it is NVIDIA, could be worth trying this older driver as it's a switch that seems to have solved a plethora of problems for various people so far.

Maybe you need to downgrade your cpu and gpu..

same on 4080, disabled framegen and never seen this again

Yeah, tried that, but then after then next invintory management crash I went on to play mw3 zombies with my roomate just to have to reinstall the newest driver in order to play.
