can also try
Windows+Ctrl+Shift+B
I'll give that a try, thanks.
With the key combination my screen went black and then back to normal. But the FPS did not change, still stay low at about 15 to 20.
Only settings change work for me.
Was worth a try, i noticed when i was getting it changing any setting worked, so it felt like forcing game to reload the visuals fixed it.
The key combo above forces the gpu driver to reload, so i wondered if it worked, but i not had any dips in days to test it.
Not sure why the dips have stopped yet tho.
What worked for me was to uncap frames>save and return to the game and i get over 100 fps.
Re-enable frame cap>save return to the game and all is fine at 60 fps until it happens again.
I use Riva to cap my frames rather than game engine, as it stabilises frame times, tho i might test tweaking the game one on and off again to see if that does anything next time it happens
but every time you have fps problems out of the blue, enter settings, modify something like motion blur on > off, save. fps gets fixed.
