Mod re-downloads every time.
I'm playing a server that has a mod that updates every time I join. It's the Dwarven Builders mod, nearly 900MB. Today I've been crashing every 2 minutes, so I've DL'd and installed it 3 times for 6 minutes of game play time. I'm not mad at anybody though.

I played on a server that had the same issue with the Deinosuchus mod, everytime we joined it would be a 5 minute download, then one day it was gone. I believe its the mod creators that have to fix it.

I agree, starting to worry these mods are sucking up hard drive space. On the server I play on it has about 12 mods, good mods but every time I log on or the server restarts it has to update half the mods sometime up to a gigabyte in size total. Annoying.

Then the Admin not Restarted the Server for Mod Updates and you redownload the older Modversion before you Join the Server . Thats why you redownload every time the Mods.

Interesting. So another version of the old mod version mismatch, but at least we can still join.

this is not on the mod authors and is on Wildcard and Curseforge to fix. There are version mismatches due to them having to wait on Wildcard to approve mods for crossplay and xbox. This has created a turnaround time of sometimes upwards of 5 days waiting on approval. The problem comes from the incompetence of either Curse Forge or wildcard approving one version (server or client) but not the other one. This is what is causing the redownloading of mods over and over again as the server updates or the client does but then the manifest file is wrong and it then redownloads the older version.

If this is the issue in theory it is an easy fix. Why don't they handle low hanging fruits?
Seems like this, and the fact that Favorites doesn't show anything should be easy fixes. Favorites not showing anything is due to the UI actually running a search of what's in the search bar (by default empty) and therefore it shows nothing.

There is a lot of easy fixes they could be doing but they are too busy working on paid adventure packs. If you look at the patch notes it takes them 2-3 days on average to fix even server issues and that is with nitrado getting priority. Just like there is problems with all their doors and light sources causing crashing and FPS drops to slide shows because they forgot to click the box for nanite on the textures. I mean we could just keep going and going honestly. Just saying though that is what is going on with mods, Upgrade station has been redownloading for days. Stuff like this is why ASE got such a bad rep they never fix small issues because pvp is the loudest.

Ya, lets fix small things and leave the PvP players with a game they can't even play at all. That would make sense :steamhappy:

uninstall the mod, exit the game, and then try to reinstall it. Might take 3 or 4 tries but it solves it eventually, at least until the mod updates
