Need help with imprinting!

I have been imprinting normally with no issues, and today for some reason my dinos will no longer let me imprint. They show the symbol for dino needs care but will not let me feed them or pet them to get the buff. I did not change any settings, is this just a glitch? i am playing singleplayer and have tried quiting the game and retrying.

I'm not sure what could be causing that. But if you're not opposed to mods, you could try to install the QOL+ mod. That mod is a replacement for all of the S+ features that didn't make it into ASA, so it has a nanny. My thinking was that you could try the nanny, to see if she can imprint your dinos.

Thank you, I might have to try this if i cant find a solution
