Achievements Question

Just out of curiosity, is it possible to get the Veteran Paleontologist and Perfect Explorer achievements on The Island, or do you also need to play through the DLC maps once they release?

Then I wonder if I am doing something wrong. I found a list on the Ark Wiki of all explorer notes and dossier and have been checking them off as I go. I have everything marked off but still no achievement. Do I have to tame each dino as well in order for it to count?

i think so ? so you were in the tek cave on the vulcano ? there are 3 (i guess) notes inside.
or you probably missed one somewhere.. if singleplayer you can just give them to you with "giveallexplorernotes" in console if you don't want to search again.

Yes it is achievable, I have done so.
1. Make sure you've picked up the ones in the tek cave
2. Some of the trunks/boxes/vases can be hidden within rock or tree spawns. If you think you are close, just start knocking down trees and smashing rocks
3. The wiki is using ASE coordinates in most cases, not ASA coordinates. Just like the caves you may be a coordinate or so away from the note you are looking for.

When I go into my Explorer Notes section of my screen, it doesn't show I am missing anything on the island. Nothing is "locked"

I have the same problem. I didn't fight the Overseer yet, so I don't have the 4 explorer notes in the arena there yet, but I have all Dossiers and didn't get Veteran Paleontologist. I guess you really have to get every Dossier/Explorer Note from all maps if you want to get them without cheating.

The command "GiveAllExplorerNotes" only seems to give 90% completion?
