Does disable the loot crates remove the ocean and cave crates too?
Kinda just want disable the orbital drops, especially as they spawn so often you can just fly between them forever for infinite handouts.
Did you ever try to make 20 ascendand saddles for a boss fight? x3? + Saddles for the endboss?
You will need a ton of resources for that and you will need to do a ton of breeding and levelling to have creatures capable of those alpha fights. On vanilla settings resource rates are really low so most people really rely on those drops.
I do agree though, that in mid game it gives you a little too big of an advantage. I think they will reduce avarage quality of the drops in a patch one day because the boost those got compared to ASE is insane.
Maybe make yourself a rule that you have to reach lvl 100 or even max lvl before opening drops blue and higher?
Past 100 from just explorer note despite only just getting a Argy, despite that already have fully powered base coz the drop keep dropping fabricator, power grill. forges and plenty silicon and cement etc etc
Why would i spend time taming specialist dino to get me resources when the games just handing them out lol
Uhhm, so you are doing the speedrun method of levelling and grinding and then complain that you are progressing in an unbalanced way? I mean, you definitely had to look up all those note locations or install a mod for them to find so many at once?
Really not concerned about the leveling side when you got hundred dino's to level, and you stumble across a loads note everywhere you step, the issue is being handed out several hundred black pearls without ever stepping in the ocean.
Having thousands of cementing paste without ever fighting the beavers or taming a snail.
Having all the end game machines without ever building one or farmining the materials to make electrical devices
The second you loot 1 red orbital you can see 2 more spawned on the horizon, loot those and yet more just spawned, why craft anything when its all falling from the sky.
Hard difficulty, loot value defaults to 1
Higher level you get the more yellow and red drops you see.
But game don't seem to scale for multiplayer/singleplayer
Might seem more balanced in multiplayer when people are fighting over the drops, but in SP they all yours, all you need is a fast flyer and your only challenge might to to bait away that Rex
Still, you're obviously abusing a game mechanic or two here. If you hunt drops all day and grind notes, sure, you will be op in no time. But it's just not playing as intended.
Maybe start a new save, put global illumination quality to low (you won't get the light beams that way) and then only gather the drops you come by?
I think its both level and region based, so I guess it depends where you set up home.
More like the game just not well balanced for SP, you can loot a red drop in carno island, jump on your bird start fly away, and one last glance back as you leave the island and they is another yellow beam from right where you just left.
I be tempted to manually drop the loot quality, but afraid that might gimp the chance of getting the blueprints needed to beat the game, but that said i getting tonnes high quality loot, but almost zero blueprints.
And it the lack of blueprints thats pushing to to hunt them down, not the rss
