Triceratops and thatch
I see that the triceratops can knock down trees for thatch, but you only get a fraction of what you get with a pickaxe.

That means I have to manually chop a bunch of trees by hand to stock my compost bins. This is not efficient, as the other resources are taken care of by dinosaurs.

Dung Beetle is extremely op now, it was good before but now it is pretty much infinite fertalizer without having to manage its inventory. So there is no need to use compost bin.

Bronto and Theri is 2 tames I use for thatch. A bronto in a forest gives a lot of berries + thatch and it has A LOT of weight. Theri is also great and much more mobile.

Use a moschops for thatch. They get 4-5 times as much as you can get with a pick

2 tames are needed in every tribe/player.

Doedi -> stone -> thatch
anky -> metal -> obsidian -> crystals -> thatch -> flint -> berries

then 2 more tames are must have

beaver -> wood -> berries
argy -> the hauler/carrier, -> fighter/meat farmer

argy picksup all above dinos at ease. so you can autogather their main materials while flying them around.

Now that you have those easy to tame gatherers, you can go into min/maxing and tame the follow two easy to tame animals.

beetle ->lots of fertilizer -> oil
snails -> cementing paste

snails only eat veggie cake which needs honey. You really cant tame a snail and keep it alive in the long run without taming a queen bee. It's not really an easy tame with the amount of work you need to put into it.

well it depends, shout in chat to buy a hive..easy. or tame a dire bear and firm all the wild hives for 15 honey each..not hard either. make some crops with poop (tame a phioma feed it stim berries) as ferilizer or ask for free fert, also easy. then make some cakes, tame them, and feed them a few cakes once a week or 2. It's really easier then you might think.

Even with an auto attack mod swinging a Doed through a forest is painfully inconsistent (way smaller hit box). I just use my anky for thatch as well.

I use my Theri for wood(and also berries and other stuff...great general harvester!). It can carry more and is faster...I only noticed it after taming two beavers for the job :D
Never tried a Doedi for Thatch...is it better than a Megaloceros?
