The optimization of the game is not good. Needs the following updates to optimize with DLSS 3. Another issue is that when I turn on FG and enter dark areas, the brightness balance becomes erratic.
Played many hours and crashes gone for good ;-)
But I have 4070 ti so my FPS is over 100 with FG, dont know how this work on 4060 :/
Its not a Ark problem, so just turn it off.
A lot of unreal 5 game have crash issues with frame gen, up to the point that some them like Talos Principle 2 just removed the feature.
even when it does work t create issues like floatyness of controls and makes you feel like you got mouse smoothing as well as artifacting
i have a 4060ti with the same problem. as long as wildcard dont allow to fill your normal ram with some texture files you have a lot of problem with FG.
No, it's not.
Ever since the GTX 4 series, the GPU's have been sharing ram with the system as a failover so this quite literally cannot happen unless there is a severe issue with the game in attempting to use more than the system's ram as Vram.
I have 3 GPU's, one on a laptop (4070), the other 2 on desktops (4080 and 4090) and they all have the exact same crashing issue with FG on and seldom crashes with anything under RTX turned on.
The laptop has 8gb of dedicated VRAM and can share upwards of the 64GB of system ram as VRAM, and the 4090 - well, if it were a vram issue that card wouldn't present identical crashing issues.
"Fix for that is simple: Tur on DLSS and FG and cap FPS in game at 60 (frame generator works fine with that in that game) Your FPS will be not caped at all! will be halved bit still over 60FPS but crashes gone ;-)
Played many hours and crashes gone for good ;-)"
Get the version 537.58
I will try your suggestion, have basically tried everything. Game works fine before this nightmare update from Nvidia. Cheers!
