The game is designed for crossplay on PC/consoles. That's why Mac addresses are now used for identification and no longer the Steam ID

yes, i found a way today.
So there are a few guides on how to host your dedicated Server via steamcmd. i used this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-c6T97wkY38

The important part is, to do the portforwarding and access the server via your public router IP. I tried to do it with my local computer IP, but somehow this wont work.
When you have your server up and running you need to connect to it.

Activate the command line in your settings.
Start a local singleplayer session and open the command line
type: "open yourIP:7777"
for example: open 268.277.15.5:7777

how do you put mods into the server for ps5 players

Don`t add too many Mods to the server consoles struggle with too many mods installed... my penneth worth

you declare the mods either in the GUS.ini using activenmods= (mod number here,mod number here or add it to the launcher bat file with the argument -Mods=mod number,mod number etc
