What kind of animal is best for felling wood

Human, especially with a chainsaw or massive tree felling machine. Although is it wood before the tree has been felled or still a tree?

Castoroides (the beavers) is another one that is good for getting wood and they have weight reduction, unlike the Therizinosaurus but unlike the beaver Therizinosaurus' have a better all around harvesting like fiber and many other resources listed

I like beavers although not the really furry ones.

theiry rhyno and a vault = vault farming

if you are around top left: mammoth for berries/thatch/wood.
if you near beavers/rivers, beaver for berries/wood.

if you able to tame a theri then go for that. just don't use berries to tame a high one, will take you around 5 hours.

best for wood = beaver

reommended = mammoth

Mammoth ...Most definitely. Great carry weight too, and you can pump points in weight to carry more. Also gets a ton of Berries and Thatch too.

Early game once you hit 30 rush a megapithicus equip a chitin helmet and put all the points into carry weight and damage, those dudes move fast and can collect about 1k wood in a short period of time and also doubles as an excellent companion mount.

Mammoth is nice, since you get a massive weight decrease.

A good thing about beaver is that you can carry it with argentavis and it will auto harvest when near trees and if you are flying far enough above the ground then you won't get any berries so no thrash items you have to drop.
At 50% weight it stops auto harvesting.

Mammoth is the best as of right now. Much better than a beaver or theri.

Once Scorched Earth comes back, thorny dragons are great too.
