I haven't tested it because .. i try not to Admin till after the first play thru.
Oh, yeah, thanks. I remember this command... I just don't exactly remember, where I saw it.
I also believe, this is the permanent unlock-command for ASA, but I'm not sure. There also was a temporary unlocking for the current game. Well, I will test it.
Well I also try to play without. But sometimes the "barrel ist just overflowing" as we in Germany say ("das Fass ist am überlaufen") I don't know, the exact english words for this phrase/saying.
Well, to have the engramms doesn't realy mean, that you can play with tek, yet. Since this also needs very exotic materials, which are realy difficult to come by on island. (I think black pearls are even more problematic than element...)

BTW: since it's a remaster, I DID play ARK through in the past. (but I never played a single bossfight without admin-commands anyway... It's the same problem: To get to it, you need special resources, which are realy difficult to get.)
As long as you are having fun doing what you do (and it does not harm Me) I have no issues with the way others play =)
(for example, last time, trying to ride the deaodon, but getting demonted after the teleport and respawning standing on rex... since they weren't saddled, no chance... I was there with a friend and getting informed, that this was the try to kill the alpha-spider. (my friend initiated the bossfight.) All mods were dieactivated, We did have a death-recovery-gravestones before, that even worked with bosses, but jut not this time...)
We play on our own server, so no harm done, using admin-commands.
Edit: the giveengramtekonly is the temporary cheat... anyway. Better than nothing.
and even if its just a basic 25 armor saddle they help a lot on those boss fights. im searching yellow drops and swamp cave but .. meh luck.
Alpha broodmother im still losing a few rex's right now (bad saddle and babies are only 213) but ive got a bunch hatched and leveling just waiting to go in so 1 or 3 a fight isnt bad for now. =)
I play on standard-mode. this means on islend wild creatures have a max level of 30. so a 213 rex is far beyond reach... yet.
Since I don't start the fight normally (but my partner) and he is relative impatient, I almost always don't get to my mount... and that means nearly 100% death, if you don't have godmode activated. And even IF you have: you aren't protected of enviroment with that. (e. g. freezing and fire can still kill you...)
t's not the armor, that's the problem in boss-fights. It's the fact, that only selected individuals are saddled... and you're demounted after teleport.
You can ride saddles dinos. You can't ride most unsaddles ones. And if you aren't on a dino, you're dead in all boss-fights. But especially in the spider-one, because of toxic ground. (and thousands of trash-spiders...)
But btw: I still don't know the command to unlock all tek permanently.... the chained command, which unlocks all tek individually in one go, doesn't work probably in ASA. That's the ASE-command, including the teks for future AddOns, that are already available in ASE, but not yet in ASA.
But perhaps meanwhile there is an updated one for the actual content of ASA at the wiki.
Alhtough atm, I'm still playing DD II... But sooner or later I play ASA again.
