Argentavis eggs impossible to hatch on mountain
73 degrees is too cold. 10m up the mountain is 0 degrees and too cold. temp seems to be very inconsistent and unrealistic

"too cold" would be a great problem to have, my house is usually 90 degrees so next to nothing will hatch if it gets warmer than normal, even with AC.
Why I've mostly been breeding mammals.

Probably will have to invest in a dimetrodon since I'm next to the swamp anyway.

no joke the mountain was either >90 degrees or less than 30 degrees in different spots even with very small distances. so my partner was like ima build some campfires. at campfire 6 it started to incubate. 8 sealed the deal

I'm still certain the temperature is bugged, I have 80 fortitude and even wearing ghillie I need to stand in front of my AC or use special food to not overheat.

Then there's patches of the map classified as "wilderness" where you can have a dramatic temperature change from the surrounding zone when you cross into it.

i think fortitude affects armor more-so. your cold and heat resist are for the temps. but my game partner will literally wear the same clothing as me and get the red warnings while mine will stay white so yes i agree. temp is a big issue. my heat resist will be 300 something and i may still take heat damage. took cold damage in a spot without snow but was fine on ice *shrug* hopefully they fix it asap as it caused my partner some quick deaths

Otter is your friend, level melee and an hatch eggs most anywhere and not be bothered by heat or cold
StrawHatter Dec 25, 2023 @ 1:22pm
could you guys explain what "level melee" means? thanks again happy gaming

Put points into melee when dino needs level up
KornKron Dec 25, 2023 @ 2:12pm
Get two or three Dimetrodon's and toss the egg in between them, it will hatch anywhere at any temperature.

oh okay thanks
Giacomo Dec 25, 2023 @ 8:13pm
I just use 4-6 air cons and you can hatch anything
