Black Weight Box Glitch.

My wife was having an issue on our server. She logged in and she had a black weight in the lower right of her screen.
She could not pick items up or drop them.
She could move around but was unable to change ammo type in her longneck.
After she tried everything she could think of, nothing worked.
Reinstall of the game, Update drivers, ect..

After resetting the Hotkeys to default she was able to drop items but still not able to pick up anything. She dropped 100% of what she was equipped with and holding. Still that black weight was there.

She had to drown herself before it finally vanished.

What a pain.

Black weight means you are slot caped. When she drowned herself, was there a loot cache left behind and if so, what was in it?

It's a bug if you didn't have anything if your inventory and the game had you as slot caped.

Make sure you check the cosmetic tab it may be full

No bag or anything. It was simply a glitch.

the black icon means the inventory is at its limit and cant hold more items. Not weight, the amount of total stacks. You cant pick up items anymore if your limited, and if you force items somehow into the inventory anyway (for example in ASE with S+ transfers) they will simply vanish. Changing ammo types etc also dont work, since they temporary need free space in the inventory.
The cosmetic tab is weird in ASA, it seems that you can go over your limit of 300 with it via dyes, because its something of a separate inventory.
Items in the cosmetic inventory add to your 300 regular inventory limit, but the cosmetic inventory itself ignores the 300 limit (or has its own 300 limit, dunno), making it possible to go over 300 total items. Dropping items won't help when the combined max stays above 300.
When suiciding, any item above 300 will also vanish, because the bag also has a item limit (and since you aren't supposed to have above 300, its supposed to not need a higher limit)

Cosmetics and all inventory was empty....... This is a glitch. I know what the black icon means. But it is not working how it should. And it was fine before she logged out for the night. Next morning it was glitched.

Same is happening to me apparently it waited to come back it’s gotta be a setting or something not updated correctly at least on my end

this helps if you have the invisble inventory bug, maybe it helps for your problem aswell, but un-tested.

step 1). delete everything in your cosmetic tab. (obv. skip this step for your problem).
step2) build two beds close to each other, teleport from bed 1 to bed 2. all your stuff is dropped now at bed 1 just pick it up, bug is now fixed.

Yeah I cant even build a bed because i cant pick up the items needed to make said bed =D Literally my first 20 minutes on for the first time ever and i cant even play. So far this game is trash.

Having the same problem. Devastating that this happens right when there's an event tame to try and get.
