How to shut down a dedicated server without losing things

Hi all,

I might be misunderstanding things, but as far as I'm aware the dedicated servers save every 15 minutes. I have set one up on my PC for the family to use, and I was wondering how I can close it and make sure everything is saved other than waiting 15 mins since the last person logged on?

the command to save world in dedicated server is saveworld otherwise you could use an ARK server manager there are one in github that do it for you search it on google

How do you know if it's worked? I can't see anything pop up anywhere. I used the enablecheats <admin_password> first, then cheat SaveWorld and neither gave me a response in-game. Should it be telling me things, or do I just 'trust the system' that it's done the thing?

for me when i save the world there is red message on top saying there are server thick like 200 or something like that that mean the server is being saved but i highly recommend you use the server manager that does it for you when you hit stop server

The command is "exit" in the server window. Saves server and closes it down.

You can also change that 15 min interval to anything you want. The setting to do it in the game.ini file, "AutoSavePeriodMinutes float 15.0" is the line, if you alter it make sure you keep a decimal point.
We have ours on 3.0 mins as that way if it crashes we don't rollback far.

The saveworld then exit command the others are telling you is the correct way to shut it down

activate admin command loggin, if the command is right, then there is an yellow chat massage for any admin command you use

So if you're running the dedicated server on local hardware you should see the server GUI window with an input line at the bottom with RunCommand button to the right. Typing "quit" (without quotes) in this line and hitting RunCommand will save the world and shutdown cleanly.

use "cheat doexit", it saves before it cleanly shuts down the server.
