If this is how you view ARK SE, I imagine this is how you also view gaming as a whole and you should probably close Steam this instant and eBay that computer of yours right away.
You get enjoyment, escapism, time spent and money saved doing things alone or with friends that would absolutely break a bank balance if catered to in the real world. But hey, touching grass is free and if you followed my advice, you have the rest of your life to do that
ASA is a new product, people worked on it, deserve to get paid for that work. Therefore, not free.
I assume you work or intend to work at some point in your life.. surely you'll expect to be paid for that work?
"I wanna my FREE STUFF"
You say asa isn't worth the money but how many hours do you get out of it ? and you get all future DLC excluding there "adventure packs" so i paid like £34 for asa with all future DLC to me thats worth it as it's the only ark game to be updated over the next few years, this is essentially there lazy Ark 2 as Ark 2 is RIP.
That being said if your not happy with what you get for what you pay for now then all you can do is wait till you believe it is worth it (if ever ;p)
PS you can pay for a dedicated server or maybe a vps to host the files rather than use the meh Nitrado and run a cluster from it when theres more DLC and would probs work out cheaper than renting from meh Nitrado (dislike them ;p)
ASE isn't a very old game. At least 90% of ASA players are former ASE players, so if the game was offered free to all ASE owners, almost nothing would be made in sales and it would be a total waste of man-hours.
Simple economics are beyond the grasp of the people who always post these threads.
ASA is priced how some franchises price their major DLCs, which is basically what ASA is.
