I mean, it's a different game. You couldn't pay me to play The Island on ASE again. Other maps, sure. This is at least fresh enough and fun enough to make me want to play The Island, but I really can't wait for the DLCs. It's already getting old just because I'm not the biggest fan of The Island map.
Eventually it likely will get heavily discounted (after new paid dlcs are released) and it has a lot of bugs so for anyone that doesn't mind waiting and are struggling with money then it would be a good idea to wait.
It could be good to play Primal Fear and similar big mods on ASE instead of playing ASA since there is no guarantee those mods will get ported to ASA, especially if they haven't had any updates in a while. So suitable to play those while ASA is very buggy and doesn't have too much content yet.
