Dino Behavior
Are the behavioral characteristics the same as ARK?

Do herbivores herd together and react together?

Do Carnos still pal around with saber tooths?

Have they improved the behavior of animals at all or is it the same stupid $hit?

no its pretty basic actually the same patterns, herbivores walk repeat in circles and predators basically suicide themselves attacking anything they can agro

I've noticed that Sabers pally up with Dire Wolves, both attack Carnos and Raptors. Raptors and Carnos pally up both attack Rexs.. Rexs and Tickle Chickens attack everything.

Raptors will call out to get nearby Raptors to join the hunt when attacking you.
Specific Herbs will pally together most noticeable with Stegos and Trikes. Dinos with Babies will attack you. Even dodos and parasaurs. Stealing Eggs will cause extreme suicidal aggro.

Torpor'd dinos will run away, but tend to return as well. Many dinos get lost in pathing, this is the spinning action, that's a bug.

You can now get multiple groups of dinos spawning together, ie 9 raptors, which can include 2 alphas. Often you might also see 3 alpha megs.. 2 alpha rexs.. 9 allosaurus, 9 dilos.. 9 compys.. the bigger groups aren't so common. Yutties come with a pack tho..

If the Sky Giga/Rynio hits you once.. it can track you all across the map. Only way to escape it is to get inside a locked building. It'll give up eventually and leave.

Dinos also "see" cliff edges and culdesac like traps.. and won't enter them.. so you need to get imaginative with traps. They still work tho. Dinos won't jump off cliffs or roofs unless they're right on top of their target.

They say that the pathfinding is better but I don't see it it might be a little bit

They have better pathing when their target is on a ledge that they could run around and up to. That's the only new pathing I've noticed.

I will hard pass then. Any animal simulator ought to have behavioral characteristics built in. This is what I hate most about ark and why I can never play for much of a stretch.

Watching the idiotic brain dead behavior of the animals is immersion breaking n the extreme.
