Other ways to select whistle groups without the need of a numpad?
Paid almost 4 grand on a gaming laptop and didn't even think about it having a numpad. Welp, it doesn't, and I haven't found a way to bind other keys to select different whistle groups. Is there another way to do it?

You can select group from Inventory -> Click the 4th tab / tracking list -> Dino Groups -> Activate the group you want. This is very slow (not really usable mid combat) to do but works, not sure if you can change the keybinds.

One way I can think of is to download AHK or something like that and then make a script where if you press F1-F9 it sends Numpad1-Numpad9 or something like that, I think it should work. There is a risk that scripts can get caught by anti-cheat programs so best to use it without BattleEye enabled, but no idea if it would detect it or not.

Whistle groups are so useful. I use it a lot to use Move To, Attack this target, all follow me, change fighting behavior etc.

When a whistle group is active you can add more tames to it with Z.

H can be held to see which creatures are in the active whistle group.
(^just some tips for anyone that reads it about whistle groups)

Even though their keybindings aren't exposed in the in-game settings, they are in the Input.ini file in the same folder where your other .ini files reside.
It's those lines with ActionName="SelectOrderGroup#". Make sure to edit the file while Ark isn't running.
