how to deal with predators

so im level 60 something still scared to even venture into the woods because i have no clue how to deal with the inevitable predator. how do yall do it should i get a ghillie suit to not get spotted?

wow this game is going to be hard for you i guess...anyway you can craft bolas to get ride of small/medium predators, if bigger just run and tame in safe places

I am feeling pretty comfortable to fight on the ground with 1400 armor, 490 health, 349.1% crossbow (kill or tranq things fast with it) and 296% fabricated pistol (a lot of free ammo in supply drops, quite low damage but basically free to use since I have 1400 bullets and it barely uses any durability).
A good shotgun can deal massive damage although the best one I found was like 117%.

So one way to deal with them is to have good enough items to kill them fast and to be tanky.

A full set of Ghille Suit should reduce aggro range by 50%, also with bola you can kill 3-4 raptors without getting hit. If you get chased by something you can run past other creatures and they usually switch target.
Large Bear Traps are useful also, you can tame some big creatures quite easy with them.

Argentavis can carry beaver, ankylo, doed so you can harvest resources while flying.
Argentavis can be used to pick up creatures you want to or have tamed. Quetz with platform saddle can be used to transport large creatures like rex, yuti etc.

You can bring other creatures with you when going around to keep you safe.

Using a flyer is usually the best way to move around, it is fast and gives you a good overview and you are safe from combat. If you use a shoulder pet like Mesopithecus you can use it to carry more items (Hold R to open its inventory), any item it carry weight half as much so it is good if you use pteranodon.

A raft is good early game to move around along the coast and then you can build on it to bring your items and structures with you and then you can stay in more open areas.

Usually you'd either ride a strong dino yourself or you'd use a flyer making anything happening on the ground a non-factor when traveling.

Lower level Raptors are easy to knock unconscious and tame once you've stopped ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ your pants from their ferocious attack and learn to effectively use bolas or bear traps to prevent the whole pack hitting you.

Once you master steering a Raptor while having your bow equipped, you can "shoot and kite" tranquilizer arrows at anything that is larger but slower than your Raptor. Just make sure you're on easy terrain and hope your target isn't fleeing into water to fall unconscious there.

Tame dinos. A pack of around 4 or 5 Dilos are easy tames even when starting a character and are good bodyguards. Then, when you can, tame a few riding mounts such as Trikes, Raptors and whatnot and have them tag along with you too. After that, you should be safe as houses on your mount while your gang of dinos shred stuff for you.

Tame a couple of Therizinosaurs or a few high level trikes. Either way you should be good for most threats.
