LOW LEVEL DINOS might kill ASA
Ok I've been flying around for since the games come out and the worst part of the game at the moment is that on single player "There are very few dinos and almost all are low level".
On a multiplayer server, "There are more dinos but almost all are low level".

Now ive been flying around for 3 weeks looking for dinos and ive been breaking up the time with building and doing other stuff. but ive done my base now and I just want to find high breeding tames, but there are not any.

If this isn't fixed soon, people are going to be REALLY bored of flying around and wasting their lives, then start to leave ASA.

That is how the island map have always been, custom dino levels mod changes it. Just install it if you want more higher levels and choose the settings you want.
I dont know if it a coincidence, but when I turned off some of the mods for the spotlight creatures my spawn increased. Especially that one that looked like a mini rex.,it was like it took over too many spawn points on the island. I had no rexes till I disabled it.

I think it was the Ceratosaurus

Seconded using custom dino levels mod. On our private server, the minimum wild level is 140, and max 150. So instead of spending hours finding a high level, we spend hours finding the one with the best stat distribution post-tame lol.
just kill everything high level dinos should be rare for me makes the hunt more fun
Make sure dino count is at least 1, I have mine set to 5, lot's of dinos, max level 150 not a problem to find

also note claiming a 150 baby after killing it's parent gives you a perfect tame of 225

I made this thread for a reason. Servers keep going abandoned and hosts cant understand why. https://steamcommunity.com/app/2399830/discussions/0/3975051362884234600/
Adjust the Difficulty slider they will trend towards being higher level, like 150s.

The spawn rate of those mods are set way too high, they flood the game and in my opinion ruin the game as a result, which is a shame because the creatures themselve are amazingly done.

But with them installed you find giant turtles everywhere along coast, choking out the dolphins and manta's.

And Cera are the worst of them all, everywhere where they should be mostly safe herbivores for a 'fairly safe' early game, say goobye as they all eaten by Cera, which flood the WHOLE island to the point where all you hear constantly no matter where you go is more Cera packs.

And by Cera pack, i mean they run in pack like Raptors, often 4 or 5 together eating everything!

If they toned down the spawn of the mods, so they was very very rare, then they be high recommendation, but right now they are big NO, as they ruin rest of the game imo.

Lol, you know my pain. Whenever I wouldn't do dino wipes, all I would see are packs of those along every river. The turtle spawn around vegasaur island was sooo heavy the island would be empty.
Max levels do spawn, it's just that, as someone else said, the island map, and official maps in general, have always been weighted towards lower levels. Ragnarok was the first map to have a more even weighting.

I use a mod called "Der Dino Finder" (I guess it's German) that lets you search for any dino from within the map. It just adds a little 'dino finder' button to the main map. It only shows last known location, so you still have to search when you get there, unless you refresh. It's a fairly new mod, so slightly buggy, in that sometimes it just stops working until you restart the game. But it won't break your game or anything.
low level dinos will kill nothing except meganeura bahahahahahahahaha
yay NOOBLETS! my favourite youtuber :D
ok so it may be bad luck, try some dino resets mate, at least on singe player i find 145-150 dinos about as often as in ASE. today i found a 150 mamoth, trike, wolf and hyanodon.
tamed the mammoth and wolf :D
looking forward to a new stream!

i don't think this is the case anymore. whatever i do, the baby remains the same level. is there a trick to it?
