Hurdles(excuses to be used) first for them:
1. Console releases done and settled.
2. ExtraLife charity event(they.. not launch the next map the same weekend as the event so that takes out the first week in december.
3. That'll give them roughly 2 weeks left in Dec before the holidays
4. However, they'll likely launch the winter event instead as a misdirect/consolation.
Likely they'll use the delay with the consoles as they primary reason they'll not launch the next map until after the holidays. That would put it then likely during the middle or end of January (or later).
Delays are the norm for Snail-Wildcard. Not the exception. And with that, 2-3 months per map means there's a likelihood of 2 more years total for all 12 ASE related dlc maps to be released on ASA. Something folks warned about before ASA was even launch is playing out just as expected.
You'd be better off with mod map expectations at this point.
I liked Myth of Empires but haven't played in a while. I might dig it out again. I'm looking forward to Enshrouded too.
You dont mow the lawn when the house is on fire..
There's the mod map Svartlfehelmisiem (or whatever), but..... it's not the best. Still, if you're looking for something that ISN'T the Island, it's definitely that. Or, not that.
