Every server Ping really high.....

Been noticing the last few days that every servers ping is very high. Originally when i started my server had 32 ping then around 56 and then a steady 108 around. Now it was 200+ today, looking at all the servers the lowest was 156 and 1 other around the same, all others were 200+. What is going on Wildcard.

I have a top end computer and every other online game i play is just fine.

Yea ive noticed this too...also cant join any today - keep getting timeouts after 5 seconds

Didn't really say much. Anywho, I guess the servers are getting tired and needs a reboot.

For ping, there's not much you can do. I have fiber internet and I still see a 200+ ping for most of Ark's servers. There's a handful below 100 but they are always full. It all comes down to the fact that they signed a deal with a crappy server company that has really bad service. They are the ones with bad hardware, not you.

if you use non official you can find like 40-60 ping servers, but today ive been locked out of the non offical server i was playing on and i dont know if its a permanent by server owner or the standard Duckery that comes with this game

173-188 ping rn on 5414. Nitrado's hardware just straight-up sucks.

Look at all the "optimizations" of late that are basically just covering for that lack of hardware power. This game runs fine as a dedicated server as long as the hardware is up to the task.

If Nitrado has that hardware, they're not using it for us. Maybe they only have a few top-end machines and not enough to cover the 1100+ servers Wildcard has rented so far.

Gives me zero confidence in the rental product Nitrado offers. If Nitrado can't step up for a customer renting 1100+ servers, they ain't gonna do ♥♥♥♥ for me.

I host my server on same PC i play with wife and ping is 80 when i play "solo" is around 29.
No mods on server.

Official servers are Nitrado Trash. Soo many performance shortcuts. Render distance to your own and player dinos is terribly low... you can't have anything follow you without derendering and it just stops until you go back and find it.... Worse than the old game and they still can fix the high ping. Why even have x3 rates when it laggs x4 all the time!!!

Server I run has low Ping. Always 12-20 for me. Location depends but try us out.

yea ive got a 4070 and ethernet (500mb+) but im getting around 350 ping on EU servers when im int the UK

Your ping has nothin to do with your 4070. BUT, run a trace route to an ip that has a server running. There is probably an issue with a router/hop along the route. just takes one to ruin your ping.

The servers are crap, nothing is under 100 ping on official and why are EU server ping lower than NA.......I'm in California.....
