Kairukus not spawning in my SP game
I tried numerous dino wipes followed by waiting patiently for a couple of hours before venturing north, but I just can't get them to spawn in my game. I even tried the old trick of using the fly command and hanging out in render range of their spawn area for 15-20 minutes before leaving and coming back later, and still no spawns.

Is anyone else experiencing this, or has any suggestions on what else I might try?

Yeah, seemingly the devs forgot some animals. They also forgot to add Cnidarias... They only exists in caves now for some reason.

Yeah, the absence of Cnidarias is probably the most conspicuous of all. The oceans are far less hazardous now. In ASE they were a menace at just about every depth if you weren't paying attention to your surroundings or riding a Basil. In ASA, you can now push your weight around underwater quite easily with a leveled-up Megalodon with little to fear.

Not that I'm not complaining about their absence outside of caves now, because I friggin' hate those things with a passion.

I just went for a quick fly and the cliff tops at 23.1 Lat 7.8 long had plenty of Kairuku including babies that I could imprint.

There's so much fighting in those areas they can often be killed but they certainly do exist.

Found another big group of them on the beach at lat 10.7 long 36.8

Thanks. I'll try looking there.

Considering how slow, defenseless and vulnerable Kairuku are, especially in a region as unforgiving and loaded with aggressive dinos as the north, having them spawn anywhere in ASA other than their traditional isolated spots is practically an engraved guarantee that they'll all be dead 5 minutes after they spawn in. Mind-boggling decision they made there.

The beach at lat 10.7 long 36.8 was a bit quieter, at least while I was there so there was a much larger group of them in that area.

Thanks! I actually found a few there that were surprisingly unmolested. They were jsut waddling around without a care in the world. I was able to snatch a mating pair off that beach so I can breed them back at my base to create an organic polymer farm.

Thanks again!
The struggle to find them is real in SP :/

There's definitely a strange spwn issue with some dinos. I had a bunch of Kairaku spawning in SP. Then did a Dino wipe to try and spawn some Ankys, because they seemingly hadn't spawned. Now there are zero Kairaku. They've really screwed up spawns in this game.

Spawning is very slow, very slow, I set my SP game to dino count of 5 and it too 12+ hours to fully populate

just throwing in my two cents to confirm 'spawns are weird'.
I built a base pretty close to the North east 'less dangerous snowy mountain' thinking it was far enough away that spawning in the baser wouldn't upset the environment, and when i wanted to go to penguin isle - i could get there quick and do some quick fabrications.

....... for 2 days - not a single penguin on penguin island or... anywhere. just, completely gone. Same with trying to find dunkle-fish (which i kill for chitin) and giant squid.

day 3: they finally started to spawned in, same with dunkles. and 1 squid - but.. game crashed and the squid disappeared -.- (all sp)

But man, let me tell you, there are Therizinos EVERYWHERE. If i ever wanted a tickle chicken in my life, i just need to walk out my grasslands door and there will be more tickle chickens than raptors @.@

In my experience, the penguins don't spawn on the ice berg in SP. They spawn on the beach and on top of the cliff across the water from the ice berg.
