Hair bug - Hair keeps balding and resetting style

For context, I am playing on my own private server with a friend, so I have messed around with the .ini's here and there. That being said, I don't think I've adjusted anything regarding hair?

As you can see here,[cdn.discordapp.com] the top of my head is, well, balding. Lovely, but not really what I'm going for. I've attempted to use the scissors to maybe change my hairstyle, but the hair style menu appears to be missing half the hair styles[cdn.discordapp.com], and trying to change the length and style doesn't seem to change anything.

It's worth noting that it's an issue on my friend's side as well, it's not just me with this issue.

I'm on a Nitrado hosted server and have this problem too.
UPDATE : Disabling "Better Trough" fixed the problem for me.

having the exact same issue here on a single player game. bald patches (looks like the hair 'wig' is too small and sits INSIDE the head. colours aren't working, only SHORT option no medium or long on all hair styles etc.
I have turned off all Mods (some peeps said it was certain mods causing it) but problem is still there with ZERO mods active. I also noticed that 'overall Height' adjustment does nothing. all this is in the character creation screen. my first play through everything worked fine, but starting a new ARK I have encountered this issue.

Someone please help, seems to be a pretty widespread issue.

Hi maybe you got already the fix solution but if not:
The unique "hairstyle" is caused by a outdated mod. Delete the mod and restart it again, maybe it will help but for the future, look into your mode before joining the server/savegame. Hope i could help with it.

Same my hair is resting on the back of my head and even after I took the mod off my nitrado server it's still reset to behind my skull giving the balding look. I Uninstaller it from my mods even though It's not on my server. Then I tried recreating my character and even in the creater it's set back. Soooo fustrating. If anyone finds a fix please let me know. I play on PS5.
