Ah cheers thx
I left it there, it's been like 2hours and it's till not moved by 2%. and no disk is being used. it's all at 0%. don't delude yourself it's not gonna move from 2% ever. only choice is to uninstall and reinstall.
Did you try and delete your download cache?
Just open steam, in the top corner click "steam"-Settings- download and there's a button that says clear download cache
Alot of people claim thats helped them a ton (didn't for me) so i'd give that a shot
game is a pile of wank
When you say the SSD is putting in work, did you look at Task Manager to verify? If Task Manager shows the SSD is busy Windows might be scanning the content before writing to the drive.
You can help avoid this by running Steam in Admin mode or turning off your firewall and antivirus when updating games.
(I just run Steam in Admin and tell my protective programs to ignore Steam and the directories it uses)
Yeah sorry shoulda clarified, Yeah i opened task managed to make sure my disk was going at 90-100% as it should be and all seemed well
