Update Stuck At 2% Fix

I've seen as lot of posts about this with every patch (happens to me every time) It's really annoying.

However, this is purely a visual bug, all you have to do is wait for 10-30 minutes (normally around 12'ish for me) and It'll just change from 2% to complete. Not sure why or how this bug exists but it does, so please don't re-install the game, just got to be patient.

Also if you go to task manager and performance tab, you'll see the SSD It's installed on doing work if you want some visual clarification. Hope this helps

Oh thx god this is here \o/ i was wondering if it was my pc that was just stuck or not, good thing im not alone in this :D

So just let it sit at 2% for how long? been trying to get this install done for over 2 hours now. and when i close out steam i have to end up restarting my computer to get steam to open back up again

Wish I knew this earlier. Last time I cleared cache to fix it, but this time it just keeps happening. And steam update only seems to use around 120mb/s read/write which is barely noticeable on m.2 drives as it is like 3% usage

what if you put a bug in your game like this on purpose to skyrocket those download numbers, like ASE bags about times downloaded but to be honest i had to redownload ASE 100 times in a few years because something always broke in game, the very last time I had to do it because only a very tiny number of servers were showing up
