& just for the record, it reported "All files passed validation".
I also deleted the remaining folder & files after the uninstall.
OK that last ASA update patch (332 MB+) fixed the issue with BattleEye.
The game is still failing the Login on launch, showing as "Player1" rather than the user's STEAM name & no mod list or servers showing.
Previous "fix" to BattleEye didn't hold.
It returned to reporting "update failed" in the little white BE launch screen after a couple of system reboots.
It's still showing as "Player 1" with no mods or servers lists.
Gotta say I'm more than a bit disappointed...
I've got over 30K hrs in ASE & over 100 in ASA so far.
She's got nearly 4K in ASE,
but this glitch locks her in vanilla SP & prevents us from playing together.
If this is left unsolved, she likely won't hit 40hrs in ASA.
I figured STEAM would get involved in the effort to correct this ASAP seeing this glitch has the ability to break THEIR login.
When this started, I DID follow the FAQs.
I had checked ports & permissions for STEAM & ASA everything in those areas were as they should have been.
Started today off having to do a renewal of the VS service for the house.
The new deal included a newer, upgraded version of the software...
(and ya can see where this is going)
yep, the installation corrected whatever setting was fibbing.
Can you explain a bit more how you fixed this issue? I crashed out of a multiplayer game and it has locked me into a single player only showing the player1 instead of my steam ID. My online base's security is compromised at the moment and I am desperate.
I installed a VPN and it instantly fixed this issue for me.
