been going on 18 days still CTD just report the game on steams store page a broken...
I use the commands:
r.VolumetricCloud 0
r.VolumetricFog 0
And I read it mentioned that this command might work, I used it after the last time I crashed and haven't crashed since, idk if just a coincidence:
ark.VertexCountScaling 1
Also I try to track as few of my tames as I can. Not sure if it affects crashing but I crashed when I had many tracked.
I play on a 1080ti gpu, my graphics settings:
1920x1080, 90 resolution scale, advanced graphics medium, anti aliasing epic, view distance epic, textures high, post processing medium, general shadows high, global illumination quality medium, effects quality medium, foilage quality low (turned it down to see things in the grass, I like it on epic tho), motion blur off, light bloom off, light shafts off, low light enhancement off, enable foilage on, 0.5 interaction distance and limits, footstep particles off, footstep decals off, disable hlod off, gui 3d widget quality 0.5, nvidia dlss off, frame generation off, nvidia reflex low latency on
Window mode: Full screen
That stopped my crashes. Now the biggest problem is horrible lag spikes, dead bodies hitting boxes are usually off the body, floating rocks in the mountains and hyper motivated Sharks and Leeds
comp:
AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3970X 32-Core Processor
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090
RAM-: 65408 Mt
r.volumetricfog 0 = Disables Fog
r.VolumetricCloud 0 = Disables Clouds
World even looks better now.
Seems like the majority of the issues sprouting up is nVidia users (thats not a slight on players with nVidia) just noticing a large majority of the people with severe crashing issues are sporting nVidia GPUs
Mileage may vary, just my 2 cents is all.
r.VolumetricCloud 0
r.VolumetricFog 0
both worked for me hope it helps. at least keep it stable enough to play until they patch it.
