Kairaku (Penguins) are not spawning, at all

So, in my solo run, I am reaching into endgame, so I need a ton of polymers.
Obviously, I was looking to farm it by brutally clubbing down any poor penguin sucker, I would encounter when going to the NW, in order to gather pearls from clams.

But there no penguins, at all.

Has anyone seen any in your games?

They are around, single player is known for dino spawn issues. Go to the snow area then do a dino wipe and wait a bit they should spawn in the normal areas after

Same issue but haven't tried a dino wipe yet. Although a lot of the snow areas are very unpopulated.

I haven't tried it yet but in ARK SE you could run the game with the option "-preventhibernation" for a workaround in singleplayer.
Maybe that works for Ascended too?

Would recommend a dino wipe if you haven't done one since starting. Some updates came out to fix spawner issues.

Even after many dino wipes due to adding mod dinos I have never seen a penguin yet. I had to resort to using a mod that lets me grow organic polymer from seeds. It's a nice workaround but I like having penguins around my base for the cuteness.

Same issue for me even after a dino wipe, I haven't tried doing one while in that area though, so that's my next port of call

Ive seen more than a few youtube videos and streams where people gave up and just ended up using admin commands on their single player or servers where this was an issue to spawn in kairuku or just the polymer itself to avoid the problem. At this current point, its going to save you from more teeth grinding and headaches.

I really don't care about this issue, IF it is only a temporary problem. The problem is, that there are chances that the devs will completely ignore this problem as they already did with quite some game breaking bugs which were already in ASE and have now been ported to ASA, as well (I am looking at you, resource deleting bug, when you close the server)...

If they dont fix that, ASA will clearly be (and stay) in a worse state than ASE was. Which would be hilariously bad.

if it helps theres mods that allow you to generate organic poly, among other resources, just adjust settings to taste and your golden

I know its not what you want to hear bbut atleast its a way for you to earn the poly. at least until spawn issues are fixed.,

can you name those mods? I am having the same issues with no spawns, need a fix

I had to boost dino count to 5, then they spawned, only on cliffs though, not on islands/icebergs

sorry just saw your reply, the one i used is easy pumps, it has an adjustable config so its not to OP https://www.curseforge.com/ark-survival-ascended/mods/easy-pumps

I'd like to add to the choir here:

In my single player game, I went north once to gather some polymer. Kairukus were there, in usual places. So I went on and killed them all to harvest the polymer.
From that day on, no more penguins. They are gone. Not even in the cliffs by the mountains. They are instinct.
And no amount of dino wipes will make them come back.

Given that I really doubt that Wild Card will ever fix any issue related to single player games, I guess I'll just manually spawn a couple of them and start a farm at my base. It's sad though.

have you done a dino wipe since they fixed the penguin spawns in an update ?
