How bad would turning off hibernation be?
I know that the game is demanding already but I barely crash at all and have no real frame issues. I have 64gb of ram, but still not sure if I could turn it off. only reason I want to is cause certain creatures won't spawn unless I render them in, at least thats my understanding.

I'd never play without -preventhibernation

You would see very low dinos everywhere and the second you dont see your base everything there freezes (dinos dont grow, crafts stop, no eggs or plants). Same for taming.

also add -USEALLAVAILABLECORES if you havent to get better perfs

So you are using it on asa then? Can you please tell me your pc specs to give me an idea if I can do it or not.

My pc has minimum specs; i7 6850k/1080ti/32GB DDR4. I added -preventhibernation to the startup a couple of days ago, and I didn't notice any performance hit.

I ran it on ASE running only an i7-7700 and a 1070 w/ 16 gb of ram and are doing again on a i7-3930k, rtx 4060 w/ 32gb of ram. had no issues with it, obv if you have a mechanical drive mileage may vary

With that much RAM you could also easily run a dedicated server on the same machine.
Would leave everything running and you can even let stuff do it's thing while logged out.

hmm ill give it a go, was able to do it on evolved, but Im not quite sure I want to keep my machine on for a dedicated server. Heres hoping my i7-11700K and rtx 3080 will do the trick :). Thankies for the help

So i tried them both and saw no Decrese in performance on a 10700 and it was using 32 cores, so you should be fine with the 11700K, GPU wise I use the 4070TI so its a little beefier but you should be fine
