Supply drops

I been seeing these content creator's getting these crazy loot drops with ascended cross bows with 300+damage but the loot in the drops on my game are literally seeds wooden structures saddles and some armor but nothing like what I see on these peoples. I don’t get how do they get such crazy loot? Are they doing something special to get these crazy drops?

There is a setting to increase the quality of the loot drops so I guess they may have put it to maximum

I think you are referring to game difficulty.

Also content creators will often just show you what they want you to see. They could have done 20 drops, but just show you the 5 best ones.

Definitely agree with you. Most streamers are notorious for drama and attention seeking. There are some decent streamers but they are so few.

I've never changed any of the settings and I have a lot of ascended stuff. The drops are crazy OP. I figured everyone's were.

In ASE the difficulty affects supply drop quality (if you had lvl 30 max creatures then you almost only got gray and green items), I am assuming it is the same in ASA. I am playing on Hard and I get a lot of ascended items, they are not rare at all (I think 10-20% of the items I get are ascended quality).
What level are the creatures? Are they 5-150 for you or 1-30? If it is 1-30 then that probably explains the crappy loot.

Another thing is that if you open supply drops with rings then I think they get both better quality items and more items.
The best item I got so far is ascended crossbow with 349.1% damage.

Slingshot is from white supply drops which is the lowest level.
You need to loot the high level supply drops to get better items.
I got a giga saddle from a red drop today (lvl req 96 to craft but I am lvl 75).
Red drops have the best items. Yellow and purple are great. Blue is decent. Green and white is almost useless.
Southern map have mostly lower quality supply drops and top map higher quality.

Unless the settings have changed, its a totally different setting to adjust the quality of drops than difficulty. You can have a standard difficulty and totally bananas drop loot quality.

This is probably what has happened. Streamers and YouTubers need an engaged audience and need those views. So they alter settings so things seem "so amazing" when they play the game.

The respective property is SupplyCrateLootQualityMultiplier in the Game.ini, for anyone wondering.
Creating a world in Easy mode now sets this to 3 by default.
