Ark Ascended Server Friendly Fire Problem and Fix.

I've tried to fix the friendly fire issue on our dedicated private server on Ark Ascended and nothing seems to work. Friendly Fire was on no matter what I did. It took a while to figure out but Ark Ascended has this in its Game.ini.

[/script/shootergame.shootergameusersettings]
bDisableFriendlyFire=False
bPvEDisableFriendlyFire=True

But when I checked our Ark 1 Game.ini files for the friendly fire settings it had a different script name.

So in the Game.ini file a few lines underneath the [/script/shootergame.shootergameusersettings] bit, I just added this:

[/script/shootergame.shootergamemode]
bDisableFriendlyFire=False
bPvEDisableFriendlyFire=True

I launched the server and its fixed.

I hope this helps anyone who is stuck or has this issue I had.

This didn't work for us. Did you put it under ALL of the shootergameusersettings code, or did you literally add lines right under that script line?

So in the Game.ini file....

You should have:
[/script/shootergame.shootergameusersettings]
{Scripts of however you config'd your server}

Add a few lines then add this:

[/script/shootergame.shootergamemode]
bDisableFriendlyFire=False
bPvEDisableFriendlyFire=True
Then add other scripts below.
