Prevent pickup of tree platform

I don't want to say what causes this question because it is kind of embarassing, but is there a way of preventing pickup of tree platforms on singleplayer?

I swear I targeted that ceiling...

If you slightly damage it the pickup option should be replaced with repair

yeah happen to me on a pvp server using the Ocean platforms, built a pirates cove base there went to remove something didnt realize it was the ocean platform :(

I had a similar issue with a behemoth cellar door i thought would make a great 1 piece floor. half the time i tried to mount .. it opened instead.

If you look when you're holding the button to pick up a piece, it will tell you which piece is targeted.
I've tried to pick up fence foundations under spikes that I set up and it was kind of hard to Target them but it does show you (with text) which part is targeted when you're going to pick it back up.

It's an easy mistake to make though:)

Also as a side note you may have picked up that ceiling, but the game thought they were connected and picked everything up. example set a row of foundations and place a gate and door. make sure the gate is closed and pick up the middle foundation .. gate and door also are picked up (if door is open this doesnt happen)

I know, for the first few pieces I checked thoroughly. Then routine took over and I got sloppy...

It was a ceiling directly at the edge of the wood platform with me standing on the platform. I'm quite sure that I just acted too fast without checking what I was actually picking up.



I'm just happy that I was alone in the room. I'm certain my facial expression was pure gold :)
