do the name of the server come up on the list?
do you get an error when trying to join or another notification ?

Same for me. Serever is running, port 7777 is open on the server shown via netstat, but not opening port 27015, no firewall. Cant see it in list local nor via internet, portforwarding active. And adding it to steam serverlist fails with no server available at this adress.

This game does not work with the Steam View Server function at all. Go to unofficial servers in the game and search for the name.

When it does come up there’s an error but most of the time it won’t even come up on the server list

i know you probably have done it but, right ip in the port forwarding ? like have you looked on the ip of the server not your pc ? can be an easy miss. if not i am starting to run low on ideas. can be somthing in your ini files that are contradicting what the other say. sorry my freind for all the back and forth. braining :zedrawr::zambie:

It may be a bit more intrusive than the "normal" way to play the game, but I have had really amazing results with "Twingate" for private servers. The people that want to join you have to install the client and you have to have a "connector" in your local network (a Raspberry Pi is enough). But after that, the connection is very stable and as fast as my ISP allows. It doesn't require any port forwarding.

No, port forwarding is done correctly, server is up and started and in ticking loop, and a cant find server even in local network

So I have tried everything and have restarted multiple times with many different guides and vids and I still can’t get it to work, good news though it is showing up on server list. I was looking through my steam server list and for some reason it is saying that the port and server is still running for ASE (the server I ran 3 years ago) and I downloaded ASE and I try to join and it says the server is off. Even when my home server is off it still shows that it is up. Thanks for all your help.

What router are you using at home? Portforward.com is a handy resource for first timers as they have instructions on how to port forward on hundreds of models of routers
