To the person who suggested this... I hate you.

Its so out of place on the island map. You just cruising around with the Jurassic Park vibes and all the sudden one of these things pops out of the swamp.... Its much faster than an Argentavis at full sprint, strafes like a Tapajara, and shoots lasers out of its bung hole.

I kind of like the slow progression of tech and fantasy across many maps in Ark. This feels very out of place, and also its way overpowered compared to the dinos you have available on the island. This should have been made into a boss encounter or cave.

If this happens in the early game you are just done, no hope. If it spawns near your base you might as well pack up and move to the other side of the map.

If you encounter it midgame your best bet is to try to escape with a zig-zag pattern towards the nearest dense forest and hope it loses you in the trees.

Im thinking about writing a mod for the late game to include a javelin shoulder fired missile system to even things out...

I met that creeper at one of the easy start locations, didn't have any gear, but got lucky because it aggro'd a spinosaur.... somehow this beast feels totaly out of place in the game

Guessing it spawned at a very low level for you relative to that spino. Mine spawned near max server level and its just deleting everything in the area, nothing has even scratched it. It can just sit there and nuke everything from orbit so its not like its a fair fight either.

Yeah it was about 4 or 5 metres of the ground, so i geuss i got lucky, ran away and watched it nuke the spino with two of its "lasers" or "fireballs"

I totally agree. This creature is just so lame. This creature never existed in this context. In reality it was just a prehistoric mosquito that was like 2 cm in length. Meanwhile we got a literal attack helicopter, that can carry rexes, shoot bullets, shoot goo bombs, scare away enemies like a yuti, can sprint, climb walls, fly, swim faster than a sarco, walk on top of the water like a blood stalker,, have an armor plus can carry 2 passengers. It's just lame.
