How are your GPUs performing
I have watched a lot of creators and they all seem to be having vid issues.
I am curious how other peoples GPUs are holding up and what your video settings are.

I currently use a radeon rx 5700XT and am curious if anyone playing the game is uesing the same and now it is performing and what your settings are.

PS
Just for a better understanding. This is not meant to be a rant thread. I want more info on how GPUs are doing and how players are adjusting their settings to help the game perform better. The over all goal here is to help others understand and make changes themselves that will in turn help them get a smoother play.

I've got a 5-year-old GTX 1080Ti, i7-8700 and 16GB RAM and it runs smoothly at the high setting with volumetric clouds off. Some crashes (about 20+ fatal errors in 100 hrs). GPU is around 70C and I get occaisional lag but as I'm only in SP, all is relatively good. I'm amazed to read all the probs people are having that can't get it to run, character creation freezes, crashes every 5 mins etc - for some reason it seems I've been lucky!!??

Everyone I've seen saying theirs is perfectly fine, who has posted specs anyway, is a generation or more behind hardware wise and/or disabled half the UE5 stuff.

3060 Ti. Horrible performance. Default medium graphics about 30 fps with lots of hitches, ugly low quality graphics with flickering textures. Had to adjust a couple of things lower to maintain 45+ fps.

4080, excellent performance, Default Epic graphics locked at 60fps to keep it smooth, no problems. Very good looking graphics with no flickering textures.

Honestly, I think the people trying to run the game at max specs with max settings are the ones having problems with the graphics

"why can't I get 180 FOS with everything maxed!?"

If you run the game at modest settings, it seems to perform okay

The game is Unoptimized, but it is running rather good for me compared to others. You will need a higher end gpu if you crank up the settings. You will more than likely need to tweak the settings heavily with anything rtx 3080 or slower.

I run at almost all Epic settings, only 2 settings I put to high which was global illumination and shadows. 100% screen resolution, no upscale for AMD gpus currently. I do run amd fluid motion frames.

Playing SOLO alone I can get rather good performance in most areas 70-120.

Playing Multiplayer on a big server all gpu's suffer and will dip even more though.

No.

With my 4080 and 7950X3D, all i want is to be able to play at Epic settings at a stable 60+fps.

I cant, and im not even playing at 4K. Oh and then theres the crashing. Just look up vidoes of this running on TOP TIER setups, this game is the worst performing game i have EVER seen, yes, even worse than CP2077.

Running an AMD Radeon 5600XT. Its struggling a little, more so on the first few days of launch but I've slid all my settings to low or medium and it's helped a lot especially with the removal of clouds. The crashing I've mostly had is from Nitrado servers now but I know my gpu is giving me a side eye because I'm making it run the mile every time I boot the game.

If there are exceptional performance issues with a reasonable GPU i suspect the culprit is either CPU or RAM...I would take the 'recommended' specs very seriously.
I run a 4070 on high in 1080 with lumin reflections and volumetric clouds off, any higher resolution and i crash regularly, any higher detail and I crash regularly.
with crashes I can run 1440p on epic at 50-60fps with all the RTX shenanigans.

Ehm no...its the GAME....look on Youtube, several high end systems showing insanely low fps.

This piece of ♥♥♥♥ is broken

5700xt here

r5 3600
32GD ram
ssd
1440p*

Runs fine 35-60 fps avg. 54.5 over 80 hours playtime

* resolution ingame set to 1080p

No crashes yet, so runs fine.

r9 3900x, 32g DDR4 @ 3600 Mhz, RTX 3070
4th gen NVMe

Settled on high settings except for ultra textures, DLSS on Auto.
Was getting 40-80 fps depending on scenario.
Decided to stop stressing and turned off fps display.

Just focusing on enjoying it. Not the smoothest,
but not unplayable for me either.

i9-12900k, 32GB RAM, RTX 4080, SSD.

1440p, everything on Epic except view distance/shadows on High. With vol clouds I get 40-65 FPS. Without them, 50-75 FPS.

About 4 crashes in 12 hours of gameplay.
HeavyG Nov 7, 2023 @ 10:26am
RTX 4080 - Epic settings, RTX on, DLSS3 Enabled High Quality + Frame Gen. I get anywhere between 80-110 FPS on average and it looks beautiful. I turn Vol clouds off - It drops my FPS by 15-20 when enabled.

I think the trade off of DLSS + Frame Gen is worth it to get the higher frame rate and feeling of smoothness. The game feels VERY smooth to me. More so than ASE on the same hardware.
Turdpeterson Nov 7, 2023 @ 10:46am
Frame Generation seems to be causing most of the crashes, i turned it off for now and its far more stable, i do miss the 100+ fps but its mostly fine 50 to 70 with it off https://i.imgur.com/DEUKXFU.jpg
Jrm Nov 7, 2023 @ 10:50am
I haven't had any crashing with my Amd 6950xt with Amd fluid motion frames, as long as I leave the Settings alone in the menu. If you keep changing settings in game back and forth and constantly save over and over without restarting that will cause crashes too.
