With a 6950xt I was able to get 70-90 FPS SOLO, but I had to Turn on Amd Fluid Motion Frames at 1440P Epic settings, the only 2 things I lowered were Shadows and Global Illumination from Epic to High. This is at 100% resolution scale btw and AMD has no upscale. All they have in the game currently is DLSS.
Even an rtx3080 you will struggle big time unless you put everything to medium and or edit the .ini file and possibly on top of that have a very low Screen Resolution Percentage.
Thanks Jrm that's really helpful information, I'm on a 2060, so I'm going to def hold off if it's struggling pm a 3080.
Just looking at the spec requirements to see if it runs... that's not really good enough
I don't think the 2 hours is long enough either because the player may want to look up fixes and optimizations to get the game to run and they may take more than the 2 hour window. There's tons of different things you can try in order to make the game run better/smoother.
The game seems to not support all graphics cards equally, so you would need to compare your system with someone who has the same graphics card to know how it will work (or just try it out for less than two hours).
edit: best example post above mine, if you get 40-50 fps on the island with an 1660ti, i bet you can´t run aberration, i once had the same problem with ASE
There won't be a demo. It would take you less than two hours to see if your computer can handle it, simply refund before 2 hours. It's a remaster of ark ase so you know what it's about. If it crashes just make sure you kill it off in task manager.
Thing is, you already stated you aren't willing to buy in and not willing to give them the benefit of the doubt due to all the bad reviews, do why worry about a demo.
