to be honest i thought this is the end for ark? update after update yet they dont fix the spawns. the experience of spawning and getting killed by raptors 24/7 on the island sorry but the map is a sorry of a excuse of a map. ragnorok is way better dunno why yall cant add maps yet yall add mods and patches when we only got 1 map to go by. which is a sorry of a excuse map. sorry but its true. cant survive on the hardest map that we aparently spawn on naterally

yea it's better but ascended will eventually be better if they can work out all the kinks and pump out more content. i think the content flow will be much faster than what we saw with evolved since it's all there already, they just need to copy/paste and make changes as they see fit.

I suck at game and havent been killed by raptors. Tame a half dozen dilos and level them. And use them as guards. Killed around 2 dozen raptors and 3 alpha raptors with them. I have 2 dozen by now though as I bred and tamed ones I passed lol

You posted this over an hour ago, why does Steam say you are still playing ASA if you think ASE did it better?

I almost agree with you, there is way more content in ASE, but ASA has some nice improvements. I will hold off buying again until they smooth this game out. I will be shocked to see ASA equal ASE content in under a year. It took ~7 years to make ASE with all its content, how on earth could they remake all that content from scratch, like they say they are doing, in a few months?

First time I played ASE I tamed 100 Dodos from the beach lol. I kept leveling them up. I even killed a couple gigas with that army lol Yes I lost dodos along way.. But was fast to replace them lol

comparing a 2015 game to a new release they recently just started working on is not really much of a comparison. Content wise evolved will be much better and more polished but give it a few years and the upgrade will be worth it long term.

Also I do not get the playerbase here at all it seems like they want easy mode gaming and pokemon here. What happened to survival in a survival game? Part of the glory of ark during the early access days was the fact dilos and raptors were on the beach and could kill you at release. You actually feared the smaller trivial dinos now. Ascended is just as easy as current ark evolved is one bola at level 9 and raptors are a joke along with anything smaller than a carno. Honestly that trivializes like 50% of the dinos with the bola alone I really do not see them hand-holding any easier than that.

Release vs release the content about same. Whats different is the graphics and engine are better. "Well once all patched". Once all DLC from ASE added AND the new DLC coming only to ASA, Then ASA will be the better product. Too many are comparing Current ASE to just released ASA. True I think ASA should of been a smoother launch then was... But comparing 8 years of DLC to new game isnt fair. CAN compare current BASE ASE to ASA though. And for me only difference is ASA does crash a little on occasion for me. Other wise it runs a lot better. But for majority of people it seems not too though..

Even if keep development speed of ASE "and i soooo hope they speed it up instead" in 8 years this compared to current 8 year ASE ASA will definitely win.

But they have lot of work to do and promises to keep... Too many people cxrashing and issues with servers.

Are you suggesting I should buy ASA today at $40-$45, when I got ASE and all its DLC for the same price with, I dunno, 8 times more content, simply on the hopes that the developer will one day add the content to equal the original game?

On top of all that I have to wait for the content to be added? Im genuinely curious, why anyone would buy this for a hope and promise of content that they already own?

Some of my fondest nightmares from when i first started playing and had no idea who what when where or why.

of late tho in ASA its not the raptors or the alpha anythings... its Mr. McTickleFingers .. Edward Scissor Hands older and scarier werechicken brother.

Too many people steadfast on either LOVE the game or HATE it. And wont give both sides of issue. I try to stay neutral if can. For me game is great.. But I watch forum and see so many having so many issues its not worth buying the game. So while I love it so far.. I understand and see that game is not worth anything to others due to massive crashes and other issues.

Now I have hope game will get better. But on other hand.. Too many promises been broken over the years. So its hard for me to suggest people buy it. While I am glad I bought it. So kinda catch 22 I guess.

I dont know why people even consider not to buy it. Imo its one of the best remakes out there. So many good new additions cant even count. The best ones of them are the insanely better building, Insanely good switching ammo types and insanely better graphics. Yes the new game is more Hardware hungry, but i know for a fact that these same issues were with ASE in the beginning. People couldnt handle ASE too.

Is ASA worth the 40€? YEAH it is !

While I agree with you, I have to say that for many people it is not worth it. Especially if play online on officials. Seen so many reporting crashes all the time. Just a guesstimate.. but I would say its like 1 person for every 10 that game runs well for. So if game runs well for you then yes its definitely worth it. But if fall in the crashing category then game isnt worth it atm.
