Freeze at character creation

I keep freezing at character creation.
I think I have done every possible fix and workaround imaginable, including reinstalling, fixing permissions, dropping firewall, lowered settings, etc. it runs smooth and starts up quick just fine. But as soon as o try to enter a game/hit character creation it freezes up and after a minute I get an error code box pop up on my screen “LowLevelFatalError….” “CL:450432….”

I know a lot of people are crashing at other times and having other issues but this one seems different than what you guys are all having.

Graphics card is fine runs Icarus on medium high , I am a little worried about the 3gb limit.
(GTX 1060 3GB) it should be fine, since it does start up good and run …right?

aww come on - im only off by like 20...that's not much. ;)
Really though I did not see the 1080 req.
Boo....I don't wanna buy a new card...but Im broke :(

Min. requirement are a lie. I can play the game with 1070 with very decent graphics.

1) Open your Steam Library.
2) Right click Ark Survival Ascended and select Properties.
3) On the General tab you'll find Launch Options section at the bottom.
4) Enter this under launch option:
-dx11
5) Close the game's properties window and launch the game.
6) Create your Character and when done click Create and then click Spawn.
7) Press ESC key and click Save.

You will be able to create the character and play the game but it's very laggy.
So you will need to remove the launch option -dx11 and start the game again.

But this time you may crash so you will need to apply other fixes.
In my PC I manage to fix the crashes by entering the Console (tilde key) and typing this command:
ark.VertexCountScaling 1

You can play get past the character creation just by turning your FPS down to 30, and then turn ALL your graphics down to LOW
