Raft Trap Issue

I used a raft trap to catch an Argi on the point just south of the snow on the west side of the map. I tranquilized it on the raft and sailed back to my base at South 2 with it sleeping on the deck of the raft. Once at my base I tamed it up. The second it tamed it up, it teleported back to where I tranquilized it way up north. I sailed the 10 minutes back up there to find it.
