Its some sort of square that acts like a second screen, only seem to appear when near foliage

DLSS settings appear to make it smaller / bigger

i'm having the same issue. I noticed it only appears when it rains ingame.
GPU is a radeon RX 7800 XT

Having same issue, I play in 1920 x 1080 using Epic settings with a 3080 ti. I am experiencing the same square appearing in the upper left when I fly through trees only. Seems to be caused by the leaves of trees for me.

this just happened to me, epic settings with NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 970 (one of the best cards you can get without a liquid cooling system) my square is a bruise-like shade of purple and happened when i used an elevator. (update: it has not happened once since this incident)

it was gone for a while (probably patched) but with the Extinction release patch the box is now back
